We do, however, arrange competitions or other activities whose purpose is to make contact with people who are interested in continuing to receive information about Åland. How and why we collect data

We use MailChimp to send information and newsletters to visitors who have only registered with consent through the website’s form in connection with e.g. competitions. Information that is collected and registered in the third-party program MailChimp with consent is: First name, last name, e-mail address, country and activity in the e-mail, i.e. which links the user has clicked on. The purpose of information is to use it for segmented and relevant marketing and direct advertising. The data is never resold. The data is removed at the subscriber’s request or by himself through the opt-out link in the email.

Formidable Forms used as a plugin in WordPress for registration with consent in connection with e.g. competitions and the desire to start subscriptions, etc. Information collected only with consent is: First name, last name, email address, country and other information you choose to share. Google Analytics, AdSense and AdWords

Tools for tracking visitor behavior and marketing on and by Åland Online. Anonymous information about which browser and type of device (computer, mobile) you use, IP address, sphere of interest and in which country you appear to be. This information cannot be derived from you as a person. The system does not identify individual visitors. Cloudflare is a service that offers services in operation and IT security. Cloudflare saves user’s IP address for up to 7 days.

Loopia provides web server for Åland Online’s website. User’s IP address and country may be saved in the server logs.

Information we collect

IP address and time of your visit, anonymous information about which browser and type of device (computer, mobile) you use, as well as in which country you appear to be. This information cannot be derived from you as a person.

When you fill in forms on Åland Online, we save your first name, last name, e-mail and country as well as the other information you share with us. The information is stored and handled securely within the EU or by companies in third countries that follow standard contractual clauses decided by the European Commission.

To whom do we disclose your data?
We may disclose your data (IP address, country) to IT suppliers and partners. We will not sell your personal data to anyone else.

How long do we save your data?
We only save your personal data for as long as it is needed and then remove it from our systems.
